A delicate and appetizing puree soup. If bacon and cream are excluded, this soup is perfectly suitable for a diet.
Instructions
Cut the bacon into small pieces and fry in a little vegetable oil. Set aside some of the fried bacon for garnish.
Peel and dice the onion and pumpkin into small cubes. Fry them as well.
Add water and simmer over low heat until the pumpkin becomes soft (about 10-15 minutes).
Add the green peas. Season with salt, pepper, and dry spices. If the water has evaporated, add a little more water or vegetable broth. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
Puree the soup with a blender until smooth.
Add cream and heat the green pea and pumpkin puree soup for 3 minutes.
Serve the green pea and pumpkin puree soup with grated hard cheese and pieces of bacon. Croutons can also be added if desired.
