This beetroot soup base is very easy to prepare. With it, you can quickly make svekólnik: you just need to add potatoes and meat, and the soup is ready!
1. Grate the beetroot and carrots. Finely chop the onion.2. Add the chopped tomatoes, a little tomato paste, and vegetable oil.3. Simmer everything over low heat for 30-40 minutes.4. 15 minutes before removing from heat, add black peppercorns, bay leaf, cloves, and vinegar.5. Transfer the vegetables to prepared jars, close them with lids. Invert the jars, cover them with a blanket, and let them cool completely (this acts as sterilization). The base is ready!
